My name is Dara Knowles and I am the founder and lead teacher of Journeys Montessori. Born and raised in Ireland, I came to the US in 1985 and have loved working with children since then. In 1990 I went back to Ireland to do my Montessori training at St. Nicholas Montessori College. After I returned to the US I opened Journeys Montessori Preschool in Sumner, Washington in 2002. We are conveniently located right beside the Senior Center and Stafford Suites retirement home which allows us to participate in ongoing activities with the senior community in Sumner.
